I am therefore I write
Introduced to yoga as a child by my father, I grew up practicing the tenets of asan and pranayam through adolescence and later married life as a form of exercise. Being of a curious nature I learnt and dabbled in many new age practices such as Reiki, Magnified Healing, Crystal Healing and as a throwback to a past life Native American shamanic rites including the sweat lodge. My awakening to true yog sadhana occurred after my mystical meeting with the Himalayan Satguru Yogiraj Siddhanath in 1998, first in a vision and then at the forest ashram near Pune.
I was introduced by my Satguru to the ancient path of the Hamsa Yog- The Way of the White Swan in the lineage of the Nath yogis. I was also initiated into the evolutionary practice of Mahavatar Babaji’s Kundalini Kriya Yoga by him and empowered to share this with others. I have been doing so since 1999.
I write propelled by my own experiences and realisations, I strongly believe that no sadhak should take as absolute others realisations. The layers of the mystical are profound and the joy of self discovery can never be understated. Texts and philosophical literature are someone else’s Truth and have only an intellectual value for me that I study yet find easy to disregard if it does not resonate with my understanding. I sincerely believe each one of us have to find our own truth without a need for validation.
